With my broad knowledge and understanding of particular courses my aim when
tutoring is for the struggling or confused student to make the transition to becoming
a high achiever. For students to be really successful and flourish they must enjoy
what they are learning and not just learn to simply pass a test, this will essentially
transform what was once a weakness into a primary strength. The key to this is
simplicity and a hands on teaching approach.

Different students require slightly different styles of teaching as everyone is
different. The reason why some students find it hard to understand the concepts
being taught in school is that the education system is solely aimed at certain types
of students. This is where private tuition plays its part and becomes the revelation
for the individual. As one becomes more confident in their understandings this
enables and reinforces self-belief and thus self-confidence. Confidence is
something which is required in most jobs and is a basic issue which I am also able
to help students with. It is not a question of teaching confidence but a matter of
unfolding. I have worked with the Jubilee Sailing Trust which helps those less able
to regain self confidence. While at University in England I was also appointed the
role of student hall ambassador, where my job was to look after the welfare and
represent over 1,000 students.
