At ELEVATION SCHOOL OF PERFORMING ARTS we strive to recognise and nurture each students individual talents, whilst challenging and broadening each students abilities. Lessons are held in a creative, professional, caring and most importantly fun environment that aims not only to increase student’s confidence but also foster a love of all aspects of the performing arts.

At ELEVATION SCHOOL OF PERFORMING ARTS we also realise the majority students do not wish to pursue a career in the performing arts, rather participate purely for enjoyment and fitness purposes. Costs are kept to a minimum through our second hand pool and wardrobe of costumes, which may be hired, rather than forcing parents to spend a fortune on expensive costumes.

Classes are offered in Classical Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Tap, Contemporary, Fitness and Singing for all ages and abilities with teachers committed to teaching students the correct technique and maximising each students potential.

Experience
The school principal Mrs Karen Knight, has extensive industry experience including performing with
Ballet d’Action and cheerleading for the American “Denver Broncos” Grid Iron team. Mrs Karen
Knight has also performed at venues such as the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Entertainment
Centre and has also performed as part of the contemporary dance festival “Bodies”. Mrs Karen
Knight has not only herself undertaken the entire A.D.A.P syllabus including Major Three but has
also undertaken the challenging H.S.C in Classical Ballet.

Mrs Knight is also a Sydney University qualified Nuclear Medicine Scientist, ensuring correct
technique is taught from a physiological point of view.
No matter what aspect of the performing arts all teachers are committed to teaching students the
correct technique and maximising each students potential.

All teachers are not only highly trained industry professionals, but also exceedingly experienced
teachers.
