I am a registered primary school teacher with over 25 years experience in both public and private school settings. In addition, I have been a NAPLAN marker of the writing tasks. More recently, I have completed a Master of Education at the Queensland University of Technology.

I create a positive learning environment that fosters the development of skills and confidence to help my students reach their full potential. My individual English and Maths programs cater for a range of ability levels: extension, enrichment, consolidation and remediation.

Areas of instruction include:

PRE-SCHOOL - beginning phonics, reading, writing and number instruction. I have extensive experience teaching children in their formative years of education. I am passionate about equipping young learners with the building blocks of reading and writing to facilitate a confident and positive start to school.

PRIMARY - reading, comprehension, writing, grammar, spelling and maths; NAPLAN & Selective School test preparation. I have extensive experience as classroom teacher from Prep-Year 7 and a learning support teacher. In addition, I am qualified in THRASS reading and spelling program.

ADULT - English as a Second Language (ESL) classes in conversation, reading, writing, grammar.


AVAILABILITY

I am available for after-school private tuition and on weekends.


LOCATION

I work from home and live within close proximity to a range of schools: Nudgee College, Ascot State School; Clayfield College; St Margaret's Anglican, Nundah State School and more.
