Hi. If you are seeking expertise in English, please read on! My name is Jill. I am a Qld registered specialist English teacher and tutor. During the past twenty five years, I have worked as English Head of Dept., ESL Co-ordinator and Griffith Uni tutor. I am currently working from Graduate English Academy as a private teacher of Junior and Senior English and uni tutor in Business, Nursing, Education and Tesol. Experienced Senior English tutors (all former Heads of English Departments) work with me providing top quality private tutoring in Junior and Senior assignments, professional English and uni assignments for various university degrees and tafe diplomas.
Graduate English focuses on fixing each student's specific problems with English and developing each student's English skills to the highest possible level. Each of our students is a special project for a successful future.
I can provide a Grammar Fix Course (10 lessons) which diagnoses grammar misunderstandings and provides an upgrade of your written English skills to formal High English which improves your school results, university and professional prospects. I also teach ESL [elementary to advanced] and English for academic and professional purposes . My clients are ambitious students, business people and professionals who are determined to be successful achievers.
For students Grade 7 to university who are wanting to raise their marks, we offer holiday extension shortcourses in advanced grammar, reading comprehension, essay writing and advanced vocabulary skills. My intensive 5 day short courses (3 hours per day in small groups) run during school holidays and are a quick English Fix, boosting your grammar, reading, vocabulary and writing skills. I also run a five day (3 hours per day in small groups) short course for QCS training, providing practice with past papers and models of written responses. We provide all textbooks and computer file resources from our extensive English Dept resource base at Graduate English Academy, 409 Mains Rd Sunnybank.

Experience
Graduate English Academy currently tutors Junior and Senior students from twenty-five private and state colleges. As a uni tutor, I have also tutored students doing undergraduate Nursing, Education, Pharmacy and Business Degrees at UQ., QUT., USQ.,and Griffith Uni. I have tutored post graduate students in TESOL., Nursing and Business Masters Degrees. I have also edited a novel, written legal letters and sometimes edit workplace reports. I have also worked as an Education tutor for Griffith Uni.

Qualifications
I am a former Head of English Dept and a Griffith uni tutor, with twenty five years' experience teaching English at secondary school and university levels. I have a Bachelor of Arts (U.Q.) with majors in English and Social Science, and a double major in French. I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (U.Q.) with majors in English and French. I have completed part of a Masters Tesol QUT. I am registered with the Qld College of Teachers and hold a Blue Card.
