Mr Grant McKell - Erskineville/Newtown, Sydney
Hi! I have a teaching background in Mathematics and am looking to tutor students up to HSC level Maths. I am also a qualified psychologist, and worked for a number of years as a school counsellor, therefore can offer advice about how to address other learning difficulties, such as dyslexia. In addition to tutoring, I can help students to develop an individualised study plan, teaching them the basics of time management and motivation.
I love teaching. When I first started out 16 years ago, I thought that it would be a temporary job. But I caught the bug, and so here I still am 16 years later.
I can meet at a place agreed between us, outside of normal school hours- evenings preferred.
I can provide worksheets and comprehensive notes that will make even the most difficult concepts easy to understand.
During our first session, we will make a plan on issues and areas to be covered which will lead to providing you with a comprehensive plan on how the tutoring sessions will progress.
Experience Classroom teacher and school counsellor for 16 years. I have tutored on and off since I was 19 years old (I'm now 38). I am now an executive teacher, running a centre that helps students with special learning needs.
