Melbourne Tutor in Algebra, Calculus, Maths, Maths Methods, Statistics
Hi there, my name is John,
I'm offering Maths Tuition to primary and high school students in the Western & Northern suburbs of Melbourne. I have extensive tutoring experience and a strong background in Maths. I received an OP 1 in the QLD system (top score) and have tutored for 5 years in various state curriculum's and the IB. I studying Engineering at a top Australian University, where I received honours. I am now studying a Graduate Diploma in education, ready to teach in 2018 =)
I believe my strengths lie in communicating simply to students and can also offer advice on exam strategy, studying habits and graphics calculator tips and tricks.
One of my strategies with students is to work nearly entirely on a whiteboard as I have found students are far more inclined to 'have a go' and not be scared to make mistakes when they can just wipe it off with their finger. This leap of not being scared of mistakes is critical with a students maths progression.
