Ms Lindy Hazeldine - Northern Beaches/North Shore, Sydney
I am a qualified primary teacher with experience in private tutoring in clients homes and at my residence in Fairlight, Sydney. I possess a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Western Sydney. This degree was conferred in 1989.
I also hold a Graduate Diploma in Management obtained in 1999 from the University of Southern Queensland and a Bachelor of Primary Education Studies from Charles Sturt University, awarded in 2005. All university qualifications were obtained part time whilst in full time employment.
I am available for tutoring after hours and weekends on Sydneys northern beaches/ lower north shore. All worksheets and notes are provided. However, assistance from your child in providing recent, examples of test results, homework etc. would be appreciated. A 1 on 1 lesson of one hours duration per session per child once a week is provided. Parents are required to commit to tuition for one school term of ten weeks, at a time.
Please note that I am heavily booked for tutoring lessons. Accordingly, I am unable to consider tutoring requests from outside the Sydney Northern Beaches/ lower North Shore area involving travelling time, unless parents are prepared to bring students to my home at Manly NSW for their scheduled weekly tutoring session.
Experience I possess a current registration with private tutoring businesses. I hold a current "working with children" child protection certificate. I have 'special needs' experience tutoring Sophie Delezio with a 'ready for school' programme after her accident. I am able to provide specialist tuition for the Basic Skills Test for Years 3 and 5, the newly introduced for 2008 National Assessment Program - literacy and numeracy Yrs 3 - 9, Westpac and UNSW year 5/6 progression tests, opportunity class (held annually in July/ August) and selective schools examinations (held annually in March). I have tutored with successful selective schools placement to North Sydney Boys High School in 2006 examination. I also tutor for the ACER independent schools scholarship examinations held in May of each year, as well as Academic Extension Class exams held annually, for gifted and talented students. References are available on this web page and upon request.
Assistance may also be provided for examination preparation, essay writing and in a student obtaining organisational and study skills. Regular feedback on student progression is provided to parents weekly.
Please email your initial contact. I will telephone or email you back to discuss your tuition requirements.
