Hi all and Welcome to my profile

My name is Darren. I was educated through the Cambridge “Ordinary” and “Advanced” levels respectively at high school. My tertiary educations were completed at the University of Cape Town, South Africa and Curtin University of Technology in Western Australia.

My tutoring/teaching and mentoring career started back in 1994 at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. I have been in Australia since July 2005 and since then I have been regularly involved in tutoring, teaching and coaching several students from different academic and professional background. In addition, I was a Sessional tutor in the area of Economics and Statistics at Curtin University on Perth. While pursuing my Masters in Accounting, I was involved in several tutoring agencies in Perth. Those agencies include, Kip McGrath in Jandakot, Clever Kids in Claremont, My Academy in Claremont, Tutoring Services International, Academic Task Force to name a few. I have been extensively involved in tutoring and teaching from Year 10 through to Year 12 in the areas of Mathematics, Economics and Accounting.

I have also taught in several countries in the world, and regularly travel in and around Australia depending on the needs of students.
My corporate professional career includes PriceWaterhouse Coopers as a Consultant, the South African National Lottery as the Chief Statistician and Market Research Analyst at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals.
I am very fortunate in the sense that i can bring a mixture of corporate real life experiences as well as my extended experience in Academia in my numerous tutoring sessions. At the moment, I have a number of mature aged students pursuing their postgraduate studies and their Masters of Business Administration that I am helping in Business Statistics as well as Economics. My areas of expertise ranges from Economics Analysis and modelling to Data analysis and modelling.

• Bachelor of Science in Economics and Statistics, Cape Town, South Africa
• Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Operations Research, Cape Town, South Africa
• Master of Accounting from Curtin University
• A Diploma in Logistics Management from the University of Johannesburg.
