Mr Paul Ward - Umina Beach, Hornsby, Chatswood, CBD, Sydney
I love tutoring and teaching English, grammar, pronunciation, Australian culture and
helping the student understand how English works in our culture. I love sharing my
language and culture with others.
I love English, Social Studies and subjects about Society and Community.
Also I have lived in two different countries and had to learn a new language
myself. So I really understand how it is to learn a new language. I also understand
Culture Shock and stuff like that.
I am available during the day in Sydney, especially along the North Shore rail line
and towards Gosford area. Eastwood and Epping, Strathfield or Chatswood are easy for me to get to.
I can guide you in homework but I will not do the work for you.
I am NOT a High School teacher in N.S.W., so I can NOT help with High School subjects.
However I am able to help you understand some of the work, by helping you to read and make notes.
My lessons are focussed on your needs. Tell me what you need to learn or
practice.
If I can not help you, I won't waste your time. I only teach what I know and love.
I can tutor beginners to higher language levels.
Also I can NOT help with IELTS (sorry). I am not an IELTS teacher.
Experience I have taught English for major Colleges in Sydney during 2006 and 2008. I taught General English to Adults and High School Preparation to Teenagers.
I have also taught EAP (Academic English).
I can teach Elementary English to Upper Intermediate or Advanced level.
I have also taught with the University of Sydney Foundation Program (USFP).
These days I often assist my former students through casual on-line chat.
Last year I taught English in a KOREAN High School.
Qualifications after my Bachelors Degree I have a Graduate Diploma in TESOL (Teaching English as
a Second Language) (2003), plus a Graduate Diploma in Adult Education. (1997)
I have also studied Hospitality Operations at TAFE in recent years.
I am doing a Masters in TESOL at UTS in Sydney this year (2010).
