Mr Steve Zirkler - Surfers Paradise & Bonogin, Gold Coast

I tutor guitar and vocal and cover various styles. I read music so I can show you through a formal program such as Trinity Music College Of London which has exam options. As I play and sing, regularly performing live around the Gold Coast, my repertoire includes songs ranging from classic through to pop and rock.
I have an extensive file of materials I have collected and prepared to give you an organized lesson covering all the elements of a good music program.
That would include chording, lead guitar, improvising, solo and part music across a range of genres. For singers, I try to include elements that will help your overall musical development, not just sing songs but to help you understand the detail you need to work with machines or a band. I have a range of other instruments in which I have some competency including harmonica, recorder, bass, banjo, mandolin, ukulele and keyboard and as many musicians are interested in all kinds of things musical I can share this knowledge with you as we go.
I generally teach music from the afternoon into evening. I tutor from my studio in Surfers, and Bonogin. For some students I do home visits. My PDF books on singing and guitar are available on disc for sale by request.
I am a professional registered and qualified teacher and aside from my passsion for Music with special interest in ESL, literacy and Math.

Experience
I have been tutoring for around 25 years for private music lessons, mainly guitar, yet also bass, vocal, banjo, harmonica and even some keyboard.
I have been teaching in schools for a similar amount of time and tutor Math, ESL and literacy.

Qualifications
I have a teaching degree and am registered as a teacher with Qld Education and QLD College Of Teachers as well as NSW Institute Of Teachers and NSW DET (also Blue Card registered).
