Howard Tutoring provides expert world-class tutoring for mathematics, physics and chemistry at the secondary (high school) and tertiary (university) levels. We service the Newcastle and Lower Hunter regions.
Sessions are for 1 hour and may involve one-on-one tutoring or multiple students.
Rates are $80 for a full one-hour session. Reduced rates are available for multiple-session packages. The tutor will travel to the location of the student's choosing at no extra charge.

Dr Tim Howard has served as a private tutor since 1995 and has taught in Australia, the UK and the US. He works as a physics tutor and lab demonstrator at the University of Newcastle and as a casual high school physics, mathematics, and chemistry teacher in the Newcastle region. He was also an undergraduate student mentor for the Research Education for Undergraduate (REU) program in the US.
Dr Howard has a PhD in space physics and worked as a professional research scientist for 15 years. He also holds a Bachelor of Mathematics degree and a Bachelor of Science degree with First Class Honours. He is a fully qualified teacher with a Graduate Diploma of Education, and is accredited by the NSW Education Standards Authority and the NSW Department of Education. He also has a formal Working with Children Check clearance from the NSW government.
Throughout his professional career, Dr Howard has published 55 peer-reviewed academic journal articles, two books, and has tutored well over 100 students. He currently works as a casual tutor and laboratory demonstrator at the University of Newcastle and as a casual high school teacher in the Newcastle (Australia) region.
Dr Howard was the dux of high school when he graduated in the early 1990s.
