Tutoring privately since 1995, and having been a registered teacher since 1991, I have four degrees; three teaching degrees, including a Bachelor of Special Education and a Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice. Working with students ranging from Reception up to, and including, adults, I have provided assistance with aspects such as literacy, numeracy and computing, however I believe the most important is encouraging each student to have a healthy self-esteem and confidence in their own abilities.
Predominantly working in the north-eastern suburbs, within the student's own home, the first 2-3 sessions are devoted to getting to know the student and parents/caregivers while determining levels of competency via diagnostic tools. Most importantly, I listen to the family to tailor a program to target specific needs. Recommending weekly sessions, usually lasting an hour, I do set homework tasks (if requested and/or appropriate) and utilise a variety of learning materials and tasks.

If preferred, I am also available during holidays.
