Miss Amel Damry

- Native French Speaker/Trainee Lawyer/Friendly lil human -

Melbourne tutor in French

- I am available from 8am to 6pm weekdays and 8am to 3pm weekends either in person or online such as Skype, Zoom, etc :)

- Generally, for the initial contact, it is best to contact me through this platform itself. Afterwards, we can go with whichever means of communication best suits you- even social media on which I am very active lol :)

- Meeting place should be somewhere where you feel most comfortable to learn and upscale your skills. It's always about you. Therefore, my own place might be a good place (the CBD) or yours as long as it is within 10 kms of the CBD. I generally do like to even tell students to maybe go to a café as we all know cafés are very à la française! It really depends on your level of comfort for maximum learning and a good return on your money!

- I am a native French speaker who is completely bilingual, having lived in France and the UK for most of life before moving to the land down under. I have been ranked 6th nationally in French for my A-Levels after which I received a scholarship to study French Law, French Language and French Philosophy at The University of Toulouse. I also write French poetry and enjoy French shows and movies. I have furthermore worked in the French legal sector for about three years before moving to Aus. All very positive experiences that can only help me be a better tutor for you! :)

- Tutoring to me is all about being able to spread knowledge. I am a fervent advocate of the fact that knowledge is to be shared and it is truly magnificent to see students growing and being able to properly speak and write French after a few lessons! There is nothing more gratifying than helping been able to help someone achieve their goals :)

- I am very experienced in the French language as a whole, be it: French grammar, vocabulary, articulation, translation, literature, philosophy and pronunciation.

- To me, it is always all about the student. Every student is unique and has their own way of understanding information and absorbing it. I like to understand my students first and foremost and then, we go from there and work through the best possible way for you to learn and grow from the experience. Some students may be more visual while some are more about listening. It may even be that some need more time to go through concepts and need more attention. It really depends on the student and I do believe that every individual can succeed at whatever their mind wants to as long as the environment is a great one.

- I usually like to start lessons with the explanation of fresh, new concepts pertaining to your curriculum as this is when the brain is at its most receptive. Then, we might go through a few exercises together to make sure you understood and maybe we can go through it again if there are difficulties. I might usually leave you with a great book or movie to watch to better understand the concepts as there is always a lot of fun in learning, it does not always have to be boring and monotonous!

Levels of tutoring offered: Primary, Middle High School, Senior High School, Entrance Exams and University.

Thanks and have a great day :)
