Hi there. I survived the HSC and managed a 99.55 ATAR and 3rd in State rank in French Continuers.
If you're looking for help with English Advanced, Maths 2u, Maths Extension 1, French, French Extension, Latin, or Physics, reach out to me and we can organize a free trial lesson! My experience of being in your exact shoes not long ago will make our lessons super efficient because I know what you want - it's what I wanted too.
For French students specifically: I discovered, nearing the HSC, that speaking is the magical component of the Continuers and Extension courses. The only way to improve your speaking is by practice, and by practicing it you improve all other components (writing, grammar, vocabulary, listening, comprehension). So I've decided to hold small classes of 5 - 10 students where on ne parle qu'en français! Everyone will have the chance to speak abundantly. Don't be daunted, you'll see how useful and fun it is. I will prepare conversation topics, grammar points, and vocabulary each lesson that cater to the level of the class.
- My availability: 3pm ~ 8pm on Mon ~ Fri, 9am ~ 8pm on Sat and Sun.
First lesson free - you have nothing to lose! 50 / hour for all 1 on 1 tutoring.
30 / hour for French speaking classes.
Gordon Library, Chatswood Library, Hornsby Library, State Library, etc. I can do in-home tutoring with no travel costs too.
- Why me: The HSC is really just about playing the game, and I've picked up more notes, study tips and exam techniques than I could ever make use of by myself. So I'm sharing everything with you. I'll always listen to what you think about the lesson. For French speaking classes: it's a non-traditional teaching style that I personally would have benefited from. It's a shortcut. I took over Maths class from my teacher in Year 10 and taught the topic on quadratics.
Other than learning to be hyper focused on the lesson plan and stern when necessary in a group setting, I've trained my patient from teaching my 8yo sister everything I learn from school. I had experience tutoring a student with Down Syndrome like to think I'm energetic, easy-going and receptive.
