I am a part qualified CA, a young professional that is working for a top tier chartered accounting firm in Sydney. I really love mentoring/teaching, and I explore this interest regularly with new hires at my firm.

Throughout my time at UNSW spanning 4.5 years (where I studied Economics, Accounting and Physiology), I have been tutoring Year 11 and 12 students as well as university students. My experiences have helped me develop a good gauge of the individual abilities and limitations of the kids I tutor, develop concise summaries of the subjects I teach (I like to work with PowerPoint slides), past exams, reading materials and additional notes.

I have worked with high performing and under performing kids alike, and enjoy motivating my students to achieve the goals that they've set out with their parents / by themselves. Having gone through the school system and a competitive graduate program in Sydney, I can absolutely relate to the pressures/anxieties that kids face today over navigating school, university selection, and early careers. I enjoy providing guidance to my students on these aspects in addition to tutoring. I am always happy to discuss subject selection, ATAR requirements, life at university, career paths etc., and provide some much needed direction that sets my students on their course.

I am super passionate about Business and Economics; I read sites like the AFR and Bloomberg every day, discuss economic news with my work colleagues and stay in touch with Australian financial news regularly. I believe this carries through well to my lessons, where I tie back the content to what's happening today, to help students think critically and hopefully come up with great essays at their exams. I strongly believe passion about what you study goes a long way in achieving a fulfilling career, and hope to help my students discover this passion early on. Surviving today's business world requires more than what you learn in class, and I work to instil this mindset within my students early on.

I work to provide structured, efficient and effective learning that is enjoyable, I teach the following subjects:

LOCATION: Board-room at my apartment complex in St Leonards, NSW 2065. I am in the process of moving to Lane Cove so I will have a home office to tutor from next year. Parents are welcome to come along for 1-2 lessons, and gauge whether the classes are going well.

AVAILABILITY: Saturday and Sunday (I will only tutor 1 student a day - This is something I am doing out of interest rather than as a business).

RATE: $50 per hour, in 3 hour blocks ($150) + $30 per hour for additional help in brainstorming, structuring and marking assignments. I will take responsibility for any lessons that go over-time and will not charge extra for these.

Rate is inclusive of contact time + preparation time. I like to keep classes to 3 hours (with breaks in between), because this gets my student to fully focus on the content. Each class will cover theory in the form of my own summary slide decks, a student-teacher discussion of the concept and current examples. We will then work on any areas that will need reinforcement, and dive into past paper questions including MCQs and Essays. Most of my focus in these classes will be on essay writing, as this develops the ability in students to think for themselves and solve unfamiliar problems with logic and reasoning.

If my classes run ideally, an year 11 Economics course (6 units) can be done in 3 classes (including past exam practice) totalling $450. Students are welcome to request additional classes that cover past exams only. I would strongly advise that classes begin well in advance of exams, as this ensures the student is in the correct learning environment, and is not rushed to learn content. I will give additional help with assessments, but will charge an additional (reduced) rate of $30 per hour to help structure, examine and grade these.

I am a strong believer of the 80-20 principle, that you can achieve 80% of your desired result in 20% of the time you put in. What I require is absolute focus for these 3 hours, so that my students will be able to enjoy their sports, co-curriculars and life outside of school without the need for excessive homework (Which tends to be detrimental in most situations).

I absolutely care about my students, and will strive to give them the time they need to help reach their objectives. If you are looking for an experienced and reliable tutor or have any further questions, feel free to call, text or email me on 0466648871 or at

NOTE: Working with Childrens' Check and ATA accreditation details available on request.
