Hi there. I’m a qualified teacher, with degrees in Mathematics, Physics, and Mechanical Engineering. I have worked as a private tutor for 10+ years, and I have always loved the job. I have a deep passion for maths and physics, and I never tire of discussing and exploring these topics with my students. It is a real pleasure to find new and interesting ways of presenting the material, so that it is always fresh and interesting for both the student and for me. My students in the past have always given me very positive feedback on our lessons.
I have more than 10 years experience tutoring maths and physics to high school and university students. In that time I have had wonderful students, and have loved the experience of always discovering novel ways of approaching a topic, so that it is interesting and fun for the student I am sitting with.
I am happy to teach any level of high school mathematics or physics, from grade 7, up to the most advanced subjects in grade 12. I have experience in Victoria teaching all the VCE subjects - Maths Methods, Specialist, Further, as well as the International Bachelorette (IB) subjects.
I also have experience teaching undergraduate university mathematics, including subjects covering Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Statistics.
I have reviews from several of my past students on my website, which you can find in my contact details above.
- Bachelor of Science (Mathematics)
- Graduate Diploma of Education - Graduated as an S1 rated teacher (the highest rating possible)
- Master of Engineering (Mechanical)
- Working With Children Certified
I have received numerous awards for academic excellence, including:
- Noel Mather Memorial Prize, 2014 - awarded annually to the student who places first in the final year of the Master of Engineering (Mechanical) at Melbourne University.
- Frederic Barnes Waldron ‘Best Student’ Award, 2014 - awarded by the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, on the recommendation of the head of department, for academic excellence.
I'm happy to negotiate a variable rate if you have a proposal you would like to put forward. In the past, I have given discounts for students who are willing to pay for a block of sessions up front, or for a very long tutoring session.
Mention that you found this advertisement on Tutor Finder and you will receive your first lesson for half the normal hourly rate ($40 instead of $80).
