I have taught as a classroom and specialist visual art teacher in government and independent schools I have also worked as an Educator at the National Gallery of Victoria. I am currently an Education Consultant at Zart Art and facilitate teacher professional learning programs and write curriculum materials for Zart publications. I enjoy tutoring because it keeps me in contact with young people and their learning. I enjoy seeing young learners exceed results. My main areas of expertise are in general primary subjects (maths, literacy, science, etc) and Visual Arts, but also Communication Studies. My approach to tutoring is to establish where the gaps in learning are in each subject with the learner and then provide content to fill in those gaps to promote learning. I structure lessons by recapping the previous session and then outlining the learning intentions for the current session and establishing success criteria with the learner. I provide hands-on lessons and theory during the main part of the session and conclude with a review of the main lesson objectives and homework. I offer Primary, Middle School and Bachelor level tutoring.
