My key strengths include my ability to simplify complex concepts and deliver the information in an encouraging, memorable, and fun manner at a pace suited to the student. Therefore, my students often tell me that I am the best tutor they have ever had. Through over three years of one – on – one tutoring experience working both privately and with companies, I have helped over 50 students from primary to mature age to become confident, happy learners. I have helped mature age students without a science background achieve a high distinction in chemistry. I have worked with those with ADHD multiple occasions. In my spare time, I am also a nanny as I love working with kids. In Melbourne, I also delivered engaging VCE classes for large groups in disadvantaged schools as the biology subject coordinator. We created worksheets of varying difficulty and made lessons interactive through quiz competitions. As a tutor, I believe in holistic learning, not just achieving excellent academically, but for my students to leave my lessons with a big smile on their face. It makes me ecstatic when I see my students achieve the results they truly deserve.

Qualifications

In terms of academic qualifications, I am a second-year Doctor of Dental Medicine student at the University of Sydney. Hence, I am excellent with human structure and function, anatomy, and anything biology. I graduated from the bachelor of biomedicine from the University of Melbourne majoring in infection and immunity in 2020, so I am confident teaching microbiology and immunology. I graduated in 2017 from Adelaide High School with an ATAR of 98.95, achieving merits in English Literary Studies (19.6/20) and Research Project (9.8/10). Other subjects I completed included biology (18.2/20), physics (18.4/20), chemistry (19.0/20, mathematical studies (19.0/20), and specialist mathematics (18.6/20). Hence, I am flexible with teaching science, maths and English subjects to a year 12 level.

Rates

I charge $50/hour for all subjects taught online.
I charge $60/hour for all subjects taught in person.
