Sydney tutor in Chemistry

Hi! My name is Jane and I graduated from Baulkham Hills High School in 2020 with an ATAR of 99.75 and a HSC State Rank in Korean Beginners (3rd). I'm currently studying Commerce/Law at UNSW, and have had 2 years of tutoring experience in both class and one-on-one settings. I’m currently offering group lessons and online tutoring in Chemistry.

Being a 2020 graduate, I am very well-versed in the new syllabus, and thoroughly understand the approaches that students should take in order to achieve high marks.

My lessons are structured around a simple principle of study that works for HSC study. That is:
1. A thorough exploration of theory content AND
2. Fine-tuning exam technique with plenty of practice questions

Whilst many students are able to do task 1 with a bit of help, many struggle greatly with number 2 and require some guidance to fulfil their potential here.

As such, I place great emphasis on analysing the following when working through practice questions:
- NESA Directive terms
- Breaking down ‘parts’ of the question
- Mark value and possible mark allocations
- How to exhaustively answer the question

I’m passionate about helping others achieve their academic goals and want to pass on the several tips and tricks that have helped me to understand difficult concepts and achieve high marks. I’ll also be available to contact throughout the week if my students have any questions because I know that feeling of randomly having questions that are best answered at that moment rather than waiting for weekly classes to roll around.
