Hi I’m Jett, a 2020 graduate from Epping Boys High School who achieved:
- ATAR of 97.85
- 94 in Mathematics Extension 2
- 98 in Mathematics Extension 1
I am now a Bachelor of Engineering student at UNSW.

I offer specialised tutoring in all high school mathematics courses including HSC Standard, Advanced, Extension 1 and Extension 2 courses.

I am passionate about mathematics and helping students reach their potential and I have a thorough understanding of all NSW high school mathematics syllabuses.

My Teaching Philosophy
Part of my philosophy is that I don’t just show students a concept and expect them to absorb what I know about mathematics, I demonstrate and guide students to independently master mathematical concepts, building from their natural approaches to questions. This is so they retain a natural and not a forced attitude towards the subject which helps them remain engaged with the course and have a mindset that promotes their success.
I strive to impart how interesting and fun maths is. I believe that any student with the right attitude and work ethic can excel in high school mathematics courses.

What I Offer my Students
- Guide students to achieve their goals and strive for 90+ results by a systematic study approach. - Guide students to develop a study plan based on the timeline provided by their school unit outline to help students be fully prepared before all assessment tasks.
- Teach students the tips and tricks to help them excel in high school mathematics.
- Help students gain confidence in their own mathematics ability.
- Help students keep up with the expectations of the HSC.
- Follow student pace and progress through all topics, guiding them to reach a standard that will yield success in their school assessments.
- Identify gaps in their previous mathematics education so that they can proceed confidently with future mathematics topics (often students can struggle and feel a lack of confidence in their maths ability due to a lack of foundational mathematics skills such as algebra).
- Assist students to select resources that are most relevant and useful for them so that they can spend their valuable time on the most beneficial tasks and question types to achieve excellent results in their school exams. I will sort through questions, past papers and textbook exercises myself to find what is best for the needs of each individual student according to the expectations of their school. - Help students with time management – plan out their week with them, finding where they can fit in my homework and their schoolwork, prioritising most beneficial tasks to maximise results.
