I take the uncertainty out of English study, with my 15 years of tutoring experience and provision of only the highest quality support.

All my students achieve Band 6 results, or at least a 20% improvement from pre-tutoring marks. I also hope to provide students with an appreciation of literature benefitting their whole lives; understanding that they have bright futures ahead of them and their sense of self-worth is based on their intrinsic value as human beings, not merely marks or their satisfaction of other people's expectations.

For complete transparency, I believe parents are the primary educators of their children and I am of a quietly conservative disposition, knowing how to 'play the game' through assessments and cater answers to our primary audience of HSC markers.

My broad study in the humanities and professional background in writing and communications give me exemplary control of the English language.

Most of my students belong to selective, CAS or GPS schools but I firmly believe tutoring should be accessible to everyone.

I have a current Working with Children Check and follow NSW law, the policies of ICAC and the Board of Studies.

Rates

$85/hr if paid for the term in advance, (on top of covid discount from $120/hr), 2hrs minimum per week, if I am travelling to you. This is really the best option if you want significant improvement in writing across multiple subjects.

I am currently offering a discount of 20% due to the impact of covid-19 and government measures upon families.

1hr minimum per week if lesson is within 10 minutes of my residence in North Sydney. There will be less improvement but it can help motivated students and supportive families. Please speak with me confidentially if you are experiencing financial hardship.
