----- UPDATE MARCH 2018 -----
Hi everyone, I've been a tutor for many years now and after a couple of years hiatus for my intern and residency in medicine I have decided to return to tutoring! I am a passionate tutor and have been teaching since the end of high school. I basically aim to tailor the subjects to each student so that they develop an interest in science and learning, then work on improve the marks once they're enthused with an interest in learning. Unfortunately the last website has lapsed but I will attempt to get as much material as I can back online. If anyone has any interest in teaching for anatomy or physics I would be happy to help out with that as well.
I'm a medical student at the University of Sydney and since graduating from high school with a 99.00 UAI and been listed on the all-rounder HSC listing in 2008, have grown to really enjoy tutoring as a profession. I'm extremely passionate about the medical profession in Australia and have an extensive knowledge of both undergraduate and postgraduate admissions and am more then happy to help you out with UMAT, GAMSAT, or school-related material. I can teach 3U maths up to year 12 (I can also offer 4U, although this may be quite rusty! I have a friend who is a dedicated math tutor and would love to help out though and I will recommend his service if required). Chemistry is my favourite subject to teach. Should you also get an interview offer for any university regarding a medical admission, I can also provide interview assistance, seeing as I have sat through anundergraduate medical interview (UNSW) and two postgraduate medical interviews (USyd, UMelb).
I've been a tutor for the last four years, and in this time have seen all of my students make their courses at their desired universities, including Pharmacology, Food Technology, and Medicine. From the feedback they have provided me, they enjoy my relaxed style of tutoring, and also find my approach to teaching highly enjoyable. I am one of the most enthusiastic tutors you'll find out there, and I genuinely try to make the lessons memorable and fun!
I should be available most evenings, but firstly send me an e-mail and see if you are interested. I have more then enough notes and past papers to drive you crazy (with chemistry at least). If there are also students interested in learning university-
level physiology, histology, and anatomy, I am more then happy to help you with that work as well.
Finally, if you are a student, then I am more then happy to help you outside our normal tutoring hours, should you leave an e-mail or contact number and need urgent help.
