Sydney tutor in Latin

I am passionate about Latin and enjoy helping students learn what a wonderful language it is. I have been teaching for 30 years and am experienced in all levels of secondary teaching from Beginners to Extension HSC. I enjoy one-on-one tutoring as it enables the individual student's needs to be met. At present I tutor by Skype but am available for tutoring at the student's home when covid restrictions permit it. For the past 15 years, I have written workbooks for HSC Continuers and Extension set texts which are purchased by most schools which teach the HSC. For Year 11 and HSC students, I can assist with translation of set texts (poetry and prose), practice of unseen passages (poetry and prose), scansion and revision of grammar. For Years 7 to 10, I am skilled at explaining the grammatical constructions so that students have the confidence to translate more fluently. I enjoy teaching students at all levels and ages.
