What is teaching for me?

Being a Spanish teacher means being a learning companion and a motivator. It means being an active listener, transmitting, juggling frustrations, inventing challenges and activating creative brains. It means being empathetic, patient and intuitive, but it also means learning, facing challenges, growing, connecting with other cultures, broadening perspectives and an endless number of reasons for which I am committed every day.

Experience

I have been working as a Spanish teacher for foreigners since 2017.During this years I have really enjoyed my work, always add some creativity in my classes as I also studied Fine Arts and my experience has taught me that creating is one of the best ways to learn.

Career path

2017
This is where my path began.
This year I finished my teacher training and began to dedicate myself to this profession that has since taught me so much.
I started working at the Sevillahabla school in Seville (Spain).


2018
A year later I finished my artistic studies but I had not yet thought about joining these two disciplines, that came later. In 2018 I was teaching Spanish at the same language school and painting on my own but I was not dedicated to art professionally.

2019
This year I worked for myself for the first time.
I went to Australia and there I learned English.While studying I started my own business giving online and face to face classes to Australians and New Zealanders.
At this time I discovered the wonders of the online world and learned a lot about how to teach in a non face-to-face way.
At that time my professional dreams began to build and the idea of merging the teaching of Spanish and the arts appeared, hence the idea of introducing creative activities in my classes, but it was still just a dream.


2020
I returned to Spain and the pandemic helped me to give shape to my ideas.
I continued working in the Spanish school where I had always worked and at the same time I dedicated my free time to create my own Spanish and creativity courses.
From then until now I work with creativity in my classes in different formats.

2022
That year was the year of the launching of the social networks and the website.
My intention was to reach more people who want to learn in an alternative way and 2022 was full of projects.
I also made my first "retreat"
Expression - A linguistic immersion between the coast and the mountain.

2023
Training in art therapy to acquire more creative tools and support and accompaniment for the people who learn with me.

Qualifications

Graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Seville (Spain)

Qualified as a teacher of Spanish for foreigners (FELE) by International House at the University of Barcelona (Spain)

Student of the Master in Art Therapy by the school Metáfora in Barcelona (Spain)

$80 per hour
