My approach to tutoring is simple, make it fun, resourceful & practical.
My structure involves:
1. Get to know the student first.
2. Understand their reason for booking a Tutor.
3. Discuss the learning types: Auditory, Kinaesthetic, Visual & Tactile.
4. Help student relate to one or more of the learning types.
5. Try to use one of their chosen learning types to confirm if this approach to learning is more suited to their way of learning.

Every student usually has their own way of learning, however that also doesn’t mean that the student knows it yet, either. This is where good tutoring is so worthwhile.

This dynamic approach to tutoring can work for all levels of learning, including:

Anything is possible when we choose to learn, not because it is expected, rather learning happens by itself, & it usually aims to turn a light on that was otherwise off, commonly known as an ‘Ah huh’ moment.

Having spent many years tutoring children, teenagers and adults the power of self expression through applied theatre practices, acting has proven a resourceful and engaging tool for addressing important issues within specific communities facing social challenges, inviting participants an opportunity to share their voice in a way that many may not have been able to do so otherwise without such a platform.
