I am a fully qualified and registered teacher currently working as a full time tutor. I have extensive experience teaching and tutoring Mathematics to VCE level. I also offer exam preparation help to adult students preparing to sit for aptitude tests.

I offer one-on-one and small group tutoring for up to 3 students.

I also offer online lessons via Zoom on a one-on-one or small group basis.

Subjects offered:

Maths - Years 3 to 12 (including VCE Maths Methods, Specialist Maths, Further Maths and IB Standard Level Maths)

I provide notes and additional homework tasks if needed. I communicate with parents and guardians on a regular basis to keep them updated regarding the student's progress. On parent/guardian request I am happy to communicate with school to workout learning plans.


Lessons will involve individualised planning according to student needs, age and learning styles.

I help students with study and organisational skills for success at school and teach them tips and tricks to maximise their marks in exams.

I can also go into schools so that VCE students can be tutored during their private study periods or lunch times.

I work alongside the students and demonstrate how to structure their answers and show working out.

I supply students with notes and instructions as needed.

I also teach students how to use the CAS Calculators efficiently.

Experience

I have been a high school Maths teacher in Victoria for about 10 years after obtaining
my BSc (Honours) from the University of Melbourne and then doing a Graduate Diploma
in Education. After working in schools as a small group maths coach, I have been
working as a private maths tutor for the past 6 years. I am experienced in teaching all
maths grades from year 3 to 12. At year 12 level I am an experienced and successful
coach for students doing the following maths streams: General Maths (standard and
Advanced), Maths Methods (1 to 4) and Further Maths (3 & 4) and Specialist Math (3 and 4). I have also helped students enrolled in Science and related fields to help with the math/numeracy requirements of their course. I have successfully helped students preparing for various aptitude exams with a numerical aptitude component.

Rates

The hourly rates for my tutoring services are 45 minute lessons for $42 for primary students for one on one tuition. For Years 7 to 10, a one hour lesson is $60 and for year 11 and 12 the rate is $65 per hour for one on one tuition.

Year 7 and 8 hourly lessons are charged at $60
Year 9 and 10 hourly lessons are charged at $60
Year 11 and 12 hourly lessons are charged at $65
Adult lessons $65 per hour
Group lessons for students from $20 per hour (depends on number of students in class)
