Why not combine Fournier with Foucault, Boyle with Baudelaire, Schopenhauer and Charcot? The point is that we cannot go by appearance alone. Armed with stethoscope and Arts degree, I teach theory, and practice clinically. This helps me both understand how theory applies and communicate that understanding effectively, putting theory into practice. Theory and practice; complementing one with the other: working side by side, going hand in hand, moving to and fro.
