“Xavier has helped my child immensely. Before he started working with Luke we were worried he’d have to move down to general maths. After just 4 sessions with Xavier, Luke has just topped the advanced stream in his last exam.” - Kath, mother of one of my year 11 students.
Hi I’m Xavier (it’s lovely to meet you!)
I’m a friendly, passionate, devoted tutor who can’t wait to share my love of math, science, economics and computer programming!
I help students enjoy schooling more, achieve higher results in exams/assignments, and gain deep insights into maths and science which serve them for the rest of their lives.
For several years I taught maths, physics, artificial intelligence, software engineering and economics at the Australian National University.
I have degrees in Physics, Economics and Computer science from ANU and am planning to begin a Master of Teaching in 2021.
I've also worked as a researcher at ANU/University of Oxford, and as a software engineer at tech startups.
In my spare time I like to read, work out, make apps, play piano and guitar, play video games and go bushwalking with friends.
Please get in touch!
I taught computer science, math, physics and economics on behalf of the Australian National University for around 4 years. I've taught artificial neural networks for the online education platform Udacity. I've been a private tutor for many years. I used to work as an AI researcher, and I currently work part time as a software engineer.
