English and Literature Tutor in North-East Melbourne
Melbourne tutor in English, Essay Writing, Creative Writing, English Literature, Japanese
I am an experienced English and Literature (VCE) tutor. (See experience and study below). I have a strong understanding of the VCE system and am able to support years 10-12 through their studies, however I am more than happy to work with younger students as well. I understand that everyone learns differently, and will adapt to the student's needs and learning style as we go. I have experience working with students with ADHD, Dyslexia, and on the Autism spectrum, and have a conversational level of Auslan.
I am happy to work online, at local libraries or the student's house if local. As an alumnus of Montmorency Secondary College, I am also happy to meet there if you are a student there. Please contact me via phone or email. I look forward to working with you!
I have been tutoring English and Literature since I was in high school, working with students from years 7-12 on a wide range of texts and essay types, as well as basic English structure. In year 12 I studied The Crucible, Year of Wonders, In Cold Blood, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, The Passion, North and South, and A Taste of Honey. I am also an excellent creative writer, achieving H1 marks in creative writing at university, and I have more than 2 years of debating experience and public speaking practise.
Currently studying a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne. I graduated VCE in 2019 with a 94.10 ATAR, and Study Scores of 44 and 41 in English and Literature respectively. I have a Working With Children Check. I have been tutoring independently for 4+ years with excellent reviews from parents and teachers.
