Hello, my name is Oliver Stark. I am in my first year if University studying a Bachelor of Music at the University of Western Australia.

If you are interested in Music teaching and coaching: I am a current Euphonium player in WA Brass (WA's premier Brass Band), a Graduated music student from Churchlands Senior High School in both Classical, Jazz performance and theoretical areas with extensive experience in performance. I have substantial solo playing experience in Classical Styles having performed a variety of repertoire at University Level. Lessons will cover the fundamentals and basics of the chosen instrument thus providing an introduction into a wide variety of musical genres and the musical world. Within lessons students will learn correct technique, instrument maintenance and be given ample opportunity develop their individual musicianship in a fun environment that prepares them for any future studies of the instrument. Also, I am more than willing to assist with musical tutoring in theory and aural from both Western Art and Jazz style.

If you are interested in academic tutoring: As a recently graduated year 12 I am very familiar with the stresses brought on by the WACE and ATAR course work. In lessons I will not only help you with course work, but will give a huge variety of strategies and processes to help manage intense workloads. This includes tips on note taking, essay planning and study habits that can be tailor fitted for you. My lesson structure is custom for each student, as we all learn in different ways however, my fundamental goal always is to help you connect with the course material thus creating a greater understanding.

I am free on every weeknight from 5PM and weekend sessions can be arranged to suit your own availability. Feel free to contact me via email or mobile should you have any questions.

I have over a year experience in tutoring both instrumental and academic subjects. My teaching style is very relaxed, I will encourage you to construct, personalise and form coherent and structured answers resulting in a greater connection with the course material, and improved grades. As a recent year 12 Graduate I am familiar with the stresses and expectations of ATAR and can provide more accurate study guides and tips to help you better succeed.
