I am available for sessions during the week (on campus at USC) and can arrange after hour tutoring around a flexible schedule.
I pride myself on my science communication skills-specifically targeted towards youth. I enjoy bringing complex science concepts to curious young minds in an understandable and thoughtful way. I have participated in numerous projects (science communication based) including filming segments for shows such as Totally Wild and Scope TV. I have successfully secured grants from the QLD government to produce science communication material and have participated in national science week for the past 2 years- travelling to remote QLD to engage science with youth.
Sessions are $30 per hour for private sessions. Group sessions can be arrange for $20 pp/h.

I look forward to hearing from you!
**Due to the high demand, I am currently only available to take on a limited number of students in Tertiary Education**
I have always offered tutoring assistance to fellow students and friends- ranging high
school through tertiary education.
In recent years, I have been selected as 1 of 50 Women in STEM to travel in the 2016 & 2017
National Science Week RoadShow to regional QLD and engage with youth to bring the
'Sciences' to rural and remote schools. For this, I was trained by Australian Science
Communication Experts to deliver tutoring and engagement of sciences with youth!
I have formal experience assisting as a teaching aide as part of the INSPIRE program with
the University of the Sunshine Coast- in the class room for year 12 biology students.
During high school I was a cello tutor for several students- this involved private tutoring in
both the school and home environment, inclusive of AMEB preparation (Regretfully I am
no longer offering music tutoring)
Alongside my tutoring experience, I have a background and training in media with recent science communication appearances in shows such as Totally Wild and Scope TV.
Below is a testimonial from one of my past students;
"I have received tutoring off Meaghan since 2016. I can honestly say that without Meaghan's support, knowledge and belief in me as a student I would not have received the marks I have to date! Meaghan's maturity, brightness and knowledge are beyond her years! Her teaching style truly amazed me every time we met for our sessions. Meaghan has such amazing talent that she will try numerous ways to teach and explain key concepts to you until she understands they best way you learn and how you best grasp concepts as an individual. For me she explored a number of teaching methods including concept maps, dot points, white board drawings and going through all key learning objectives during the lecture from each week. Every session I walked out of with Meaghan I truly felt I was one step closer to reaching my goals, I felt smarter, positive and I really started to believe that anything was possible. I have no doubt you will feel exactly the same way if you receive tutoring off Meaghan. The most valued quality that I believe Meaghan has besides her fantastic knowledge and teaching techniques, is that each session is all about you, she wants you to succeed and she will do everything in her power to make that happen for you! I want to also add that I did try a couple of tutors during my degree and Meaghan was without a doubt the best person for me and I truly believe any student, because she can change her teaching style to suit you! If you take a chance on Meaghan and hire her to become your tutor I believe she may just be your lifesaver too"
