Jeffrey and Xander's chemistry crash course offered an efficient overview of the content each term whilst retaining depth in explaining the topics discussed. Each lesson was well planned and each topic was built on from the last giving the lessons a flowing sensation. Doing so helped in learning each topic as you were able to draw many ideas from previous topics to aid in confirming your understanding of a new topic. The highlight of the course was the mock test at the end. Being able to test your understanding of topics under the pressure and time constraints of a test environment is invaluable to improving and targeting weaker areas of knowledge. I would highly recommend this course to everybody who is taking chemistry in years 11 and 12. |

This year, my daughter attended the Year 11 Chemistry Crash courses run by Jeffrey and Xander. It facilitated her to pre-learn the content required for the upcoming term and also become extremely familiar with it as a result of the optional end-of-course exam. It recognised the strengths and weaknesses of her but it also highlighted how much content they got through. Consequently, the pressure of Chemistry as a college subject was reduced and thus more time was able to be used to focus on other subjects. Furthermore, the teaching style of Jeffrey and Xander is very comprehensive, methodical and student focused. They gave individual attention and feedback throughout the course. Moreover, they taught the students how to obtain the maximum possible mark for every type of question covered in each topic. Overall, Jeffrey and Xander's Year 11 Chemistry Crash course is invaluable in navigating the difficulties of one's first year of college. As a parent I highly recommend them without any hesitation. |

This year Jeffrey was my tutor for Specialist Methods, weekly group tutoring was extremely beneficial for me in understanding the key concepts and steps to tackle any kind of question. This year, I have made substantial improvements in my results thanks to Jeffrey. Jeffrey's extensive knowledge in Math and Chemistry were very helpful when doing assignments or preparing for tests and exams, in particular how to approach every type of question. As well as being able to provide clear examples to make learning challenging new material easy, his suggestions and encouragement in discipline towards study and preparation was very helpful in creating good habits for the long-term. Jeffrey often helps us to set clear goals and build plans and routines to achieve those goals. Jeffrey was always available even after lessons for reviewing any questions I had throughout the day about homework or schoolwork. He always puts careful thought and preparation into lesson plans so it is easy for everyone to understand. Jeffrey understands that every student learns differently and if someone doesn't understand the material then he will explain it in a different way with clearly worked out examples until everyone is able to understand it. He is very personable and friendly, students feel comfortable asking for help when school teachers can't provide the right explanation. I would recommend Jeffrey to everyone, he is thoughtful, patient and understanding and will improve your results and ATAR! |

I attended three of Jeffrey and Xander's 'Year 11 Chemistry Crash Courses' in 2022. The courses significantly helped me improve my grade in year 11 chemistry. Each crash course covered the coming terms content, this meant I was already familiar with the material before we did it in class. This really helped me feel more confident in class and improved my end grade. Jeffrey and Xander were great tutors, they explain things very clearly, got us to work through practical examples, and provided heaps of useful materials for study. The practice exams gave me valuable experience in sitting college exams. I highly recommend the crash course to any year 11 chemistry student!! |

Jeffrey has been an amazing tutor who has significantly improved my results!
His knowledge in Chemistry is outstanding. He is able to apply challenging theory to practical questions, and effectively communicate his knowledge to students. This has provided invaluable help for test and exam preparation, empowering and enabling students to study for themselves. He is also willing to review assignments and reports. By providing clear, precise and nuanced comments, his assistance has elevated students work, allowing them to also excel in the take home aspects of science education.
Moreover, Jeffrey’s English tutoring has also been of an exceptionally high quality. His creative abilities and his critical thinking skills, have enabled him to analyse work and provide suggestions for improvement. And, by being a former dux of the subject, he has invaluable tips for creative writing and essays that most teachers or professional tutors would not suggest. This first hand experience is unique to his tutoring style and has helped elevate students work to a higher standard, allowing them to achieve top marks in English.
Furthermore, Jeffrey’s assistance for Specialist Methods and Specialist Mathematics have provided significant benefits. He is able to solve challenging problems, and communicate his thought process and understanding to students. This has not only allowed students to understand various problems, but also enabled them to successfully approach new and unforeseen questions. He also has a substantial number of past papers that he is willing to provide.
Overall, Jeffrey has been a very friendly tutor who is easy to get along with. He is passionate about teaching, and is always willing to give students quick, last minute help outside tutoring hours. Because of his assistance during Year 12, I was able to achieve around 100+ unit scores for Chemistry, English, Spec B and Spec A. So, if I could tell myself one thing at the start of senior education, it would be to ask for Jeffrey’s help earlier on! Thank you Jeffrey! |
