What I appreciate most is how personalised each lesson was. Delphine tailored the material to my specific goals, whether it was improving my conversational skills for the spoken exam, or understanding grammar and expanding my vocabulary for SACs and the written exam. No amount of words can express my eternal gratitude for Madame Delphine! I only wish that I had found her earlier as I only began my journey with her in June 2022. I will be honest, I was lacking so much confidence and motivation in French before I discovered this lovely gem! I couldn’t believe that after a few lessons Madame had turned the tables and made French my favourite subject! I became more passionate about learning French! Every week, I looked forward to going to each lesson because her style of teaching was so enjoyable, interesting and unmatched by any other. I could just say that I didn’t even feel like I was learning at all and was just having fun! Even if she had a tight schedule, she always made room for me and I can’t thank her enough. Delphine was always so patient with me regardless of how many mistakes I made, she corrected me in a way that did not make me feel demotivated at all. Overall, a lovely and kindhearted woman, I am sure everyone enjoys her presence! She woulds always arrange fun exercises and memory tricks to assist me with tricky French conjugations and tenses. And if you want extra work and practice? Don’t worry she has you covered with her copious amount of fun worksheets! Unfortunately our time together had to come to an end and I was very devastated. I first started taking lessons with Delphine in Year 10. From the very first lesson I had with her, I was absolutely blown away by her amazing teaching style, her enthusiasm, her passion for teaching French, her useful tips and tricks for examinations, and her effective and personalised teaching methods! Although I had been feeling pretty daunted about tricky aspects such as complex French grammar and phrases, Delphine was always able to teach these in such a creative, interesting yet nonetheless efficient way, which made learning French so enjoyable. I remember looking forward to every class, and I would leave each lesson feeling a sense of fulfilment and satisfaction with what I had learned, as well as developing a newfound appreciation for the beauty of the French language each time. Even aside from her teaching, I loved Delphine for her remarkable personality and character - Delphine was such an encouraging, caring and compassionate teacher, which played an incredibly vital role in boosting my confidence and motivation to work hard in French. Thanks to her teaching, I was able to do extremely well in my French studies, earning a Distinction in VCE French 1/2 in Year 10, and an overall score of 95 (7) in IB French (with full marks in writing) in Year 12! Delphine taught me during Year 12 in 2020, and despite the fact that we could only have a few face-to-face lessons, due to lockdown, I thoroughly enjoyed each of my online lessons with her and would always come out of them having learnt something new! She is an extremely kind, patient and dedicated person who I always felt very comfortable around, something that was super helpful and important in a subject as personal as French – I was always comfortable talking in French (and making errors!)
When correcting my writing pieces, Delphine would always give useful suggestions on how to improve, outside of grammatical issues, including French conventions, idioms and other aspects of language that aren’t taught in the classroom. I especially enjoyed the many discussions we had about French culture and history, which greatly enriched my understanding and appreciation of the francophone world! This allowed me to more develop deeper ideas in written and oral form.
Additionally, Delphine gave me excellent preparation for each of my SACs, and she would always tailor lessons to specifically address both areas I needed to improve and the criteria of the school assessment. As a result, I was always well-prepared and felt confident before assessments, and managed to score full marks across them đźŠ
Apart from the extensive help Delphine gave me to improve my French, she also provided lots of encouragement to me, allowing me to perform my best, despite being nervous. Wow where do I begin? Throughout my VCE I had many tutors in my various subjects, however NONE of them compare to the standard and quality of Delphine. I began working with Delphine in year 10, after falling off track with French, needing assistance with becoming more confident in my abilities. Right from the get-go I was completely in awe of how much time and effort Delphine puts into each and every student, from providing cool tricks to help you memorise/understand grammar rules, helping to write incredibly complex French, teaching new tenses/cool expressions used by local/native French people - my school French teacher's were blown away by my standard each year! I genuinely looked forward each week to our sessions because it did not feel like I was "studying", Delphine genuinely makes the lessons so incredibly enjoyable, whilst ensuring her students gain as much knowledge as possible. Thanks to Delphine, I was the subject DUX for French at my school, and achieved full marks in the oral exam (all credit goes to her intense and incredible assistance with my preparation). I only found Delphine and started classes with her about a term into year 12, and my only regret is that I didn't find her sooner. The difference between my SAC scores before and after having lessons with her was unbelievably huge, from 60s to 90s. Delphine always prepares specific resources according to the students' strengths and weaknesses in the subject, and puts a lot of effort into personalising each lesson. She also knows exactly what the VCE assessors are looking for, and will teach you the tricks for obtaining high marks. She is one of the most responsible and passionate teachers I know; you can tell that she genuinely wants to help in any way possible and you can always rely on her anytime. Delphine tutored my 17 year old son for Year 11 and Year 12 French 2019. She proved to be an excellent choice as a tutor and was probably the reason our son continued with Year 12 French.
She was very thorough, generous with her time and provided copious notes for our son to take home. She was up-to-date with the Year 12 curriculum and worked to it, in the final year. There was never a problem getting our son to French tutoring; he was always happy to go and enjoyed the lessons. I believe she has the knack of giving students confidence, no matter what their standard of French.
Apart from her skills as a tutor, Delphine demonstrated genuine empathy and consideration for our son when he went through difficult times.

Delphine was and still is an amazing french tutor.
Coming to her in such short notice, term 3 of year 12 to be precise, she ensured to make time and room to teach me. She prepares content very early so that when you come to class all the materials are ready to be used. She has plenty of exercises, formula sheets (so useful and vital for orals) and videos that aid in improving you're french.
Furthermore, something I really noticed was that she would always take classes longer than the paid 1 hour and throughout the week Delphine corrected all my essays and work.
Overall, Delphine is a dedicated, french-loving, motivating teacher who never fails to make class the most enjoyable! :) Would definitely recommend her to any age student that is learning french. |

I have had the pleasure of taking lessons from Delphine in year 12. She is such a genuine person and a highly talented teacher who tailors each lesson to your specific needs. She has helped me improve my writing a lot, by working on weak grammar points and providing me with strategies and tips to tackling exam prompts. When it comes to speaking, she makes you feel so comfortable and at ease so you are not worried about making mistakes. She highlights grammar and pronounciation errors (no matter how many times you make them, she is so patient) and also develops your responses and ideas so you can stand out.

Delphine is a superb tutor in French. She has great patience with someone not able to grasp the accent.
Her lessons are very well prepared with plenty of basic sheets of grammar to learn from.
She sets homework which she checks at the start of the next lesson.
There is a huge advantage in learning French from one whose native language is French.
