A fantastic Japanese Teacher |

Tomoe is a very engaging and fun teacher. My husband and I learned heaps during our 8 week mini-course. The lessons were well crafted and very practical preparing us as tourists for our trip to Japan. The best thing is her lessons gave us the confidence to use everything she taught us while in Japan. |

After doing a short Japanese course about ten years ago, I never had a chance to use it, and my Japanese slowly started to fade.
But for the last few years, I have been skiing in Japan at a small resort where many establishments don’t have any English speakers. Before each trip, I found various different private tutors to do some revision, in the hope of making myself understood. I had moderate success, but was never really gained enough Japanese to successfully make a restaurant booking, ask directions, or introduce myself.
This year, I came across Tomoe and had a few private lessons before I went to Japan.
She had a completely different approach. It was rigorous, but fun!
We concentrated on the phrases and vocab that I would be needing in the resort.
What a difference it made! When I arrived in Japan, I was suddenly able to use Japanese to do the things that I was unable to in prior years. It made the trip more interesting and rewarding.
With new enthusiasm, I am now having weekly lessons and making real progress.
Tomoe is the best tutor that I have come across, and I highly recommend her to anyone learning Japanese at any level. |
