Roxane is an exceptional tutor and I commend her highly for her dedication and patience towards her students. Her excellence was visible to me from the beginning of my experience as her student; through examining my individual capability and thereafter tailoring lessons to accomodate my strengths and weaknesses, I found I was able to thrive in the language for my HSC. Whether it was in the earlier stages of my learning where she emphasised and allowed me to develop a strong grammatical understanding of the language right up to when I was doing rigorous weekly past papers and receiving in-depth feedback on my work to continue to improve, Roxane has enabled me to flourish in the language, ultimately guiding me toward receiving a final HSC mark of 91/100. As a non-native speaker in such a challenging course, I believe that Roxane's tutoring played an indispensable role in my success. Holistically, beyond imparting knowledge, Roxane instilled a sense of confidence within me, encouraging me to push beyond my perceived limits and grow as an individual!! |

Roxane tutored me throughout year 11 and 12, assisting me in quickly gaining competency in French when I had started the HSC beginners course. Roxane is highly organised and does an exceptional job of tailoring lessons to the students level and individual needs based on the areas in which they need to improve. With her assistance I was able to go from knowing no French to scoring 95 in my final exam. What was most valuable however, was Roxane's focus on teaching authentic and practical French which goes beyond what one may find in textbooks or standard classes, enabling me to interact with French linguistic culture to a great degree. |

Roxane has been a veryorganised and helpful tutor for me, when I did French for the HSC. She constantly disciplined me and helped me to really work on and hone in on my weaknesses in French. Also, she was able to easily identify my strengths within the subject. She is a very engaging and passionate tutor, and she helped me to really increase my marks within the subject for the HSC. I sincerely thank Roxane for all the hard work that she put in in tutoring me. |

Roxane has helped me immensely with my French over my senior years of school, and I would definitely recommend it for anyone wanting to learn or improve their French. I constantly practiced HSC-type tasks and our lessons pushed me to challenge myself and gain confidence, especially in my speaking and authenticity with the language. I started learning French with Roxane three and a half years ago when I was in year 9 from scratch as a hobby. Roxane is a great teacher and takes care in her lessons so much so that I was able to complete the French Continuers and French extension HSC course in year 11 and twelve and achieved a band 6 in French continuers for the HSC. Without Roxane, this would not have been possible as I did not take French as a school subject in year 9 and 10. Lessons with Roxane are always fun as she cares about the material she teaches and tailors it to each student which helps ignite a passion for French! |

My son missed a whole year of French lessons at school and Roxane was able to bring him up to speed. It's great that she is a native French speaker! She was also accommodating our varying needs, from online to face-to-face classes. Every class, she captured in a Word doc what she and my son covered, along with homework. |

I have been learning French with Roxane for 3 years with the aim of becoming good enough to sit the DELF B2 exam. During this time, Roxane has been very patient and encouraging with me and it is due to her exacting standards that I recently achieved my goal with a result of 91%, the highest of all the exam candidates. I was delighted with this result and now feel even more motivated to continue learning! |

I decided to take French lessons because I wanted to refresh and improve my French language skills. I have previously studied French in high school, however I have not had the chance to practice a lot throughout my university years and now my working life. I would like to continue learning and challenging my mind by learning new languages.
I was hoping to get my fluency back in conversation and to refresh my memory of the tricky French grammar. A lot of my mistakes arise from not recalling correct uses of different tenses.
Throughout my lessons with Roxanne, I have gained my confidence back when speaking French and our lessons gave me a regular time to set aside for achieving my goal.
I liked how Roxane uses a wide range of tools to engage me as a student: she would give me a children's book to read each week, she gave me grammar exercises to work through, introduced me to various French movies and songs I never would have known about otherwise, and only talked French to me, even when explaining things.
She is conscientious, fun and a great teacher!
I would definitely recommend Roxane to others as she is very flexible and able to help you achieve whatever specific goal you may have regarding learning French.
Her lessons were structured but casual and relaxed enough that I did not feel like I was back behind a desk again. It was great to look forward to her lesson, even after a long day at work! |

Roxane is an incredible tutor, who works hard to help her students achieve great results. She is always prepared for every lesson, bringing work sheets and different questions, and caters to any of the student’s needs. Roxane helped me achieve a band 6 result in my HSC, and overall improve greatly in both skill and confidence in my French. Roxane is a wonderful tutor, she is warm and friendly and has deep understanding of grammatical structures and pronunciation. She is also able to communicate effectively her knowledge in her lessons so it was easy to understand.
I conducted my lessons with her on Skype which initially wasn’t sure whether it would work but I found it worked perfectly fine.
I would definitely recommend her to anyone studying french as she can tailor the lesson to your level and need. |

Roxane is a gifted teacher with a wonderful ability to make a lesson feel like an

A fine sense of humour is one of Roxane’s many attributes as a French teacher. It has probably been as much of a benefit to her as it has been to me as a very mature-age student (56) over the past two years I have been attending her lessons. She has a unique ability to make her lessons fun and interesting despite the renowned complexity of French grammar. The hard work begins when I get home and have to complete my homework to prepare for the next lesson! Roxane’s humour is built on understanding, compassion and kindness, and together these qualities have helped to accelerate my progress as a French speaker from a beginner to intermediate-level. |

Roxane is a great and patient french tutor. I always enjoyed classes and she helped me
greatly improve my French as I was able to practice not only my grammar, writing and
listening, but also practice speaking french on a regular basis and increase in confidence.
Being of french origin, she not only corrected my mistakes, but also provided other ways
of expressing my ideas in a more French manner, giving me alternative phrases one would
actually use in this language. Thus I learnt not only about the actual language itself, but
also about the french manner of speaking and expressing ideas.
Roxane was also very available and helpful before exams, as it was easy to schedule extra
lessons, and she is very flexible to the individual needs of the student.
She is a professional and patient teacher and I would highly recommend her to anyone of
any age and level (whether beginner, intermediate or advanced) who seeks to learn or
improve in French! |
