I am an English tutor with over a decade of experience (100+ students since 2014), mainly working within the inner metropolitan Melbourne school zones.

In 2025, the majority of my students received VCE English study scores within the 40s, so it was a fantastic year.

My English tutorials are targeted at maximising students' knowledge for their upcoming SACs in a very structured way:

For text response essay writing, I instruct on a new argument in each class, providing students with evidence, and assuring that their writing is coherent, analytical, and relevant to a wide range of prompts. For argument analysis, a critical component for their success, I have developed a method where students find it productive and enriching to hear my dissection of various arguments. I instruct on how to improve analytical writing across the three elements for this task (author's purpose, intended impact, and metalinguistic devices). For frameworks of ideas, I help my students craft the best possible form of writing for their school's selected framework, with the remaining focus being upon adapting and integrating their writing across various titles and stimuli suitable to their given framework.

Across the board, I focus upon strengthening students' hold over their written expression, building a lengthy application of sophisticated yet appropriate vocabulary, and writing structures across the three sections of VCE English assessment, ultimately consolidating their knowledge for the end of year exam.
