Sydney tutor in Chemistry, English, GAMSAT, Maths, Medical Interviews, Physics

Hi! My name is Aiden Kim I am a 2022 graduate of Barker College with an ATAR of 99.65, a HSC all-round achiever, and a first-year medical student at UNIMELB. With 5+ years of tutoring experience in science, chemistry, physics, maths, and english for all year levels I'm incredibly familiar with the syllabus.

? My HSC marks for the subjects I tutor were:
Chemistry: 96/100
Physics: 95/100
Maths Ext II (specialist): 96/100
Maths Ext I (methods): 95/100

I write my materials for the lesson, but I also have access to many other resources which I have accumulated throughout my time in high school and tutoring, which I also use in every lesson. I can also offer help with any questions that the student may have of their own. If needed, I will also write extra questions for my student to be set as homework.

MEDICINE:
? GAMSAT:
Overall, I received a 75 for my GAMSAT (98-99th percentile) which landed me interviews at my top preferences.
My section results were:
Section 1: 65
Section 2: 76
Section 3: 79

INTERVIEWS:
Having completed the UNIMELB MD MMI and as a current medical student I can provide guidance on presentation, communication, and interview strategy, with a strong focus on the University of Melbourne medical interview format. I’ve developed a carefully curated interview preparation program that exposes students to commonly asked questions, MMI-style scenarios, and structured feedback to help them build confidence and maximise their chances of success.

Lessons are online. Available in person but I am currently located in Melbourne (Carlton).

Experience

With half a decade of tutoring experience, I’ve had the privilege of supporting students through some of the most important stages of their academic journeys. What I enjoy most is seeing students grow—not only in their marks, but in their confidence, problem-solving skills, and overall approach to learning.

I focus on clear explanations, structured guidance, and helping students genuinely understand the material rather than relying on memorisation - leading to strong academic results. I bring current, up-to-date knowledge and a strong academic foundation to every lesson. I understand the pressures students face—whether in high school subjects or those aspiring to enter medical school—and I use that insight to mentor them with empathy and purpose.

Above all, I’m committed to helping each student reach their full potential. My goal is to make learning clear, engaging, and empowering, so that every student feels capable of achieving outstanding results and building the confidence to succeed long-term.
