Gold Coast tutor in Accounting, Acting, Algebra, Calculus, Creative Writing, Economics, English, English Literature, Essay Writing, German, Maths, Maths Methods, Reading, Study Skills, Visual Arts

Hi! I’m Arya, a Year 12 student at Somerset College offering supportive, engaging tutoring for primary and secondary students.
I understand that every student learns differently, so I tailor my sessions to suit the individual rather than simply repeating what they have already heard in class. My goal is to help students genuinely understand their work, become more confident asking questions, and gradually become more independent learners.
I can assist with English, essay writing, Mathematics, German, Music and general study skills, including assignment planning, revision, organisation and exam preparation. I am particularly suited to working with primary school students and students in Years 7–10.
Academically, I have consistently achieved strong results throughout school, including Co-Dux, the Highest Junior Academic Achievement Award, Cum Laude recognition and participation in an accelerated Mathematics program. I currently study Mathematical Methods, Literature, Economics, Accounting, German and Music.
I also have extensive experience in performing arts, music and public speaking, which has helped me become a clear, confident and engaging communicator.
My tutoring style is patient, encouraging and practical. I want students to leave each session not only knowing the answer, but understanding how they got there and feeling more capable of tackling similar work themselves.
I am based around Tallai/Mudgeeraba and am available for both in-person and online tutoring.

Experience

I have experience supporting younger students with academic work, study skills, organisation and confidence. I focus on making difficult concepts clear and approachable, adapting explanations to suit each student’s learning style rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.
I am particularly comfortable assisting students with English, writing and essay structure, Mathematics, German, Music and general study skills. I can also help students develop effective revision techniques, time management and assessment preparation.
I aim to create a relaxed and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing greater independence in their learning.
