𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗘: We don't provide in-home tutoring anymore, a key reason being Blair has found most students seem to perform better either outside the home environment or when they're online ! The dataset behind this belief is not inconsequential eg his experience tutoring in homes spanned 1991 - 2021, in libraries from 2004 and though online obviously took off during the pandemic, he first tutored online way back during 2007 - 2012 for an Australia-wide provider. Blair started offering tutoring in cafes in 2019 as a kind of educational experiment, to see if tutoring students in a 'social' environment might 'affect their psychology' in a way that would enhance their learning ... empirically so far, results have been very encouraging. But basically any of libraries / cafes / online seems to substantially improve outcomes compared to houses ....for most students anyway, at least in our experience !
