Standard service involves explanation of class materials, explanation of concepts, demonstration via examples, and working through problems together.
Tutoring never involves doing the student's work for them. The student's responsibility is to learn and to demonstrate their learning. The tutor's responsibility is to help the student achieve this.
I am motivated to help the student understand the topics being taught, so that they can feel confident at school/university, and likewise they can approach tests & exams with assurance.
I do not support the practice of relentlessly drilling primary school students in the hope that they can get into a particular secondary school. My job is to help with the student's understanding & self-belief.
WWCC held.

The above prices are all-inclusive for a one-hour session, in the student's home (or other agreed venue), assuming travel time to & from West Ryde is not excessive (no more than ~15 min by car/train).
Any travel surcharge will be advised by me in advance for commuting of more than 15 min.
Indicative examples:
→ for West Ryde, Ryde (South of Victoria Rd), Meadowbank, Melrose Park, Denistone (and Denistone East & Denistone West), Eastwood (near station), Rhodes, Macquarie University (subject to availability), Putney, or add NOTHING;
→ for Ermington, Gladesville, Tennyson Point, Ryde (between Victoria Rd & Buffalo Rd), Eastwood (not near station), Epping, Macquarie Park, or Concord West add $5;
→ for Ryde (North of Buffalo Rd), East Ryde, North Ryde, Macquarie Park, Marsfield, Macquarie University (otherwise), Dundas, Rydalmere, Liberty Grove, or Concord West add $10;
→ for Telopea, Lane Cove West, Silverwater, Concord (West of Majors Bay Rd), or North Strathfield add $15;

→ for Pymble, or Wentworthville add $30;
→ for West Hoxton add $60.
(These travel surcharges are fixed costs, independent of booking duration. Note that the travel surcharge may vary depending upon the time of the appointment, due to foreseeable delays during peak hour.)
If more than one student will attend the session simultaneously, add a further $5 per student (per hour).
Rates are for tutoring.
Rates for other engagements, such as teaching, are by arrangement on a case-by-case basis.
Note:
I generally do not tutor at lower and middle Primary level (Y1–Y4), nor below that. Typical children of that age do not need any tutoring, and so typical children at that age should not be receiving tutoring. A small proportion of young children do need tutoring, for various reasons, in which case you should seek a specialist in early childhood learning & education.
