I taught my very first students when I was 12 years old, to kids in my neighborhood. It was then that I knew I had a passion for sharing my musical knowledge with others. In June 2021, I graduated from UQ with a Bachelor of Arts in Popular Music and Technology and minors in Music Psychology and Writing. I attained an Advanced-Panel Certificate of Merit issued by the Music Teacher’s Association of California, equivalent to AMusA when I was 16, and won numerous competitions in my childhood and teenage years. I also volunteered to play in retirement homes to share my music with the elderly.
Music is such a powerful way to express oneself. It can brighten up any day, and I love sharing my musical expertise with students. It’s so rewarding to see students grow as musicians. Whether a student has played through their very first song or scale or sat an exam, it’s an exciting feeling. I primarily specialize in teaching Classical and Popular music on the piano, music theory and music production in Ableton Live. I also have a strong background in preparing students for exams (AMEB, Trinity and ABRSM) and performances.
I provide a fun and supportive learning environment, where students are challenged to achieve their full potential. I teach my students that each piece is more than just the notes, but also a unique story. I work not only on the technical skills with my students, but also I mentor my students to adopt a positive/productive mindset, especially in preparation for exams, performances, and competitions. Also, I prepare lesson materials specifically for your needs, to help reinforce important concepts and tailor to your learning style.

In fact exam prep is a big strength of mine, where I have never had a student score lower than a B. Most of my students who have done exams consistently get As on their exams.

"In just a year, Miss Dominika was able to get me from being an absolute novice to being able to play songs I never thought I could play. I am now able to play some of my favorite songs and also have mastered Fur Elise. A dream come true! I am so grateful to have a teacher who is so supportive and knowledgeable. Miss Dominika is encouraging, thorough, structured, and such a kind, talented teacher. Thank you, Miss Dominika. You have made such an important impact in my life!"
