Experience

Hi, I’m Emily, an educator with over seven years of experience teaching English and Humanities, including ATAR Politics and Law. Based in Winthrop, WA, I offer personalised tutoring in English, Modern History, and Politics and Law, helping students build confidence and develop the skills to succeed.

I hold a bachelor’s degree and a TEFL certificate, and I am currently studying a Juris Doctor. My teaching experience and ongoing studies bring strong research, writing and analytical skills to my lessons.

My approach is patient, encouraging and structured. I tailor sessions to each student’s goals, strengths and areas for improvement, breaking challenging concepts into manageable steps. I support students with essay writing, comprehension, source analysis, assessment preparation, study strategies and exam revision.

I create a welcoming environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. Whether your child needs help understanding classroom content or wants to extend their skills, my aim is to help them become a more confident, capable and independent learner.
