Experience

Felicity started tuition in 2019 assisting two primary school children with their homework for literacy and numeracy and gave them supplementary exercises that focussed on the areas of weakness. After a break, she then focussed on numeracy only and started Calculated Minds, tutoring mathematics for work, life or study. Felicity excelled in mathematics in secondary school and has worked with children from 8 to 18 years-old.

Felicity has a diverse background spanning the areas of health, marketing, writing and education. One of her key strengths is the ability to explain concepts in a way that is easy to understand. Having been the ‘Dux’ of her Year 12, she performed very well in Maths, Japanese, French and Home Science in the Higher School Certificate. Educational achievements aside, Felicity’s approach is one of humility, humour and wisdom.

With Italian family heritage, Felicity learnt and taught Italian, and whilst in Italy, also taught English to Italian students. She achieved a Distinction in Grade 6 Drumkit performance with Rockschool after having experienced the fun of playing in bands. Her studies in music reinforced how the foundations of rhythm, melody and harmony are all derived from mathematical applications.
