|| Raw 49 Methods || 99.8 ATAR || Hi, I'm Gary and I achieved a raw 49 for Methods in 2020, scored over 95% in every SAC, was ranked 1st and have since garnered over 600 hours of tutoring experience, ranging from year 8 to VCE 3/4 + US Math Olympiad. I graduated from Haileybury college with an ATAR of 99.80, 3220 (98th percentile) UCAT score and am currently a 4th year medical student.

|| SAC Preparation ||
I provide over 100 past SACs from elite Victorian schools including Scotch, Xavier, Haileybury, Camberwell Grammar, Koonung, East Doncaster, Balwyn, Suzanne Cory… – see photo for full list. SACs constitute 40% of your study score and these SACs are an invaluable resource to help you prepare.

A 4-week course that targets the key math skills tested in each SAC, how to interpret the ‘story’ style of SAC application questions, calculator commands, time saving strategies, etc.

|| Exam Preparation Course ||
Exam preparation starts around August 1st – 100 days before methods exam. The course covers strategies on:
• How to reduce silly mistakes and prevent similar mistakes from recurring. • How to mentally categorise questions in reading time, how to check questions
• How to exactly use the calculator efficiently
• Hundreds of practice exams + Revision document of just ‘separator’ questions. • Trial exams that I will mark – feedback on formatting of working out, timing, readability.

|| My Philosophy ||
I design my lessons to not just be maths and numbers, but a human experience that prepares you for future endeavours. Year 12 is an incredibly hectic and challenging year, I discuss how to construct a resilient and sustainable mindset to combat the unending stress, anxiety and burnout that is commonplace. I share how to build discipline and self-control to overcome the inevitable lack of motivation you’re bound to feel and create routine. I try to be more than just a tutor but rather a friend and mentor; you can forget how to integrate and all the technical knowledge I teach you after year 12, but I try to impart skills that will aid you in whatever journey you embark on.

• One on one lessons either online or at my house in Keysborough - $70 per hour • FREE trial lesson – message to organise. • Lessons are typically 1 on 1, however I can tutor small groups (2-4) FROM THE SAME SCHOOL at discounted rates. (2 students: 45pp/hour, 3 students: 35pp/hour, 4 students, 30pp/hour)
