DON'T JUST LEARN BIOLOGY. LEARN HOW TO SCORE.

Despite achieving a raw 46 study score (top 1.6% in the state), I wasn't always a top Biology student.

At best, I was an average student in high school, genuinely average, but leveraging the exact system I teach students year after year, I was able to propel myself to an exceptional result.

Where other tutors might just teach the content and leave the application up to the students, I provide the actual procedure for how to THINK about questions properly and execute to get full marks time after time.
This transformation took me from a 53% SAC result to a raw 46, a result that shocked my teacher and other peers at school.

My tutoring is not designed simply to get students through the Biology content. It is designed to develop the knowledge, exam technique, study systems and consistency required to perform at the highest level.

—----------------------------------------

A COMPLETE VCE BIOLOGY PROGRAM

This is not simply a weekly tutoring session.

Students receive a structured program throughout the year designed to take them from learning the content to confidently applying it under exam conditions.

—----------------------------------------

WEEKLY EXPERTLY WRITTEN WORKBOOKS

Every week, students receive a comprehensive workbook covering the relevant VCE Biology content.

These workbooks are specifically designed to address the question:
"What do I actually need to know and how do I turn it into marks?"

Workbooks include:
- Detailed explanations of difficult concepts
- How to structure high-scoring responses
- Common mistakes and misconceptions
- Strategies for maximising marks
- Targeted practice questions

The objective is not to overload students with information.

It is to make sure they know what matters, why it matters and how it is assessed.

—----------------------------------------

WEEKLY HOMEWORK & CONSOLIDATION

Students receive targeted homework after each week's content.

This allows them to actively retrieve and apply answering techniques.

Something that separates me from other tutors is that I don’t give homework as a formality, it provides me another opportunity to identity weaknesses in students’ knowledge and answering approach.

This means I can intervene and enlighten students before they become problems that hold students back in a SAC or their final exam.

—----------------------------------------

SAC REVISION SUMMARIES

Before each SAC, students receive a dedicated revision summary covering the relevant content and high-value assessment points.

This provides a structured final revision resource rather than forcing students to sort through hundreds of pages of notes the night before an assessment. Not only does this make students feel more confident before a SAC, it also allows them to pinpoint areas they might be unsure about and to ask me for extra guidance.

—----------------------------------------

AREA OF STUDY MASTERCLASSES

This targets a VERY fundamental misconception about Biology where students and teachers treat concepts as being separate. However, this cannot be further from the truth, with many SAC and exam questions testing this very crucial component that cost student’s marks.

Many students with other tutors won’t have access to such a service, instead drowning in content they might have only covered at the beginning of the year. However, these masterclasses, on top of SAC revision summaries ensure students stay on top of content and use their time doing what actually moves the needle, focusing on applying content.

—----------------------------------------

FULL END-OF-YEAR EXAM PROGRAM

Final-exam preparation is not something that starts in October.

Students are progressively prepared throughout the year, with a dedicated end-of-year exam schedule covering:
- Content revision
- Practice questions
- Full exams
- Error analysis
- Targeted revision
- Exam technique

This is something that many students have appreciated in the past. Instead of going into this crunch period with a foggy view of what’s to come, they know the exact week-by-week approach, and all they have to do is follow it.

—---------------------------------------- SMALL CLASSES. INDIVIDUAL ATTENTION.

I deliberately keep my group classes small and capped.

Why?

Because a large class may be efficient for the tutor, but it does not necessarily provide the individual attention students need.

Every student has different strengths, weaknesses and learning habits.

I therefore track each student's progress INDIVIDUALLY throughout the year, ensuring no student goes unnoticed.

I look at:
- SAC performance
- Common errors
- Areas of weak understanding
- Exam technique
- Study habits
- Progress over time

This allows me to identify why a student is losing marks, rather than simply telling them to "study more".

The tutoring adapts to the student.

—----------------------------------------

UNLIMITED 24/7 QUESTION SUPPORT

Students also receive unlimited question support through Discord.

Get stuck on a question while studying?
Send it through.
Unsure why your answer only received 2/4?
Send it through.
Don't understand a concept before tomorrow's SAC?
Ask.
You do not have to wait until the next weekly class to resolve an issue.

—----------------------------------------

I TEACH THE STUDY SKILLS BEHIND THE RESULT

One of the biggest lessons I learned during Year 12 was that studying more does not necessarily mean studying better.
My transformation from 53% to a raw 46 was not simply the result of spending more hours at my desk.

I learned how to:
- Use active recall effectively
- Identify knowledge gaps
- Approach unfamiliar questions
- Structure high-scoring answers
- Prepare systematically for SACs and exams
- Manage a demanding Year 12 workload

These are skills I now teach alongside Biology.

This is something that most tutors completely ignore, expecting students to be on top of these study skills that schools don’t even teach. This means that students feel the benefit not only in Biology, but their other subjects too.

—----------------------------------------

MORE THAN A TUTOR — A YEAR 12 MENTOR

My role doesn't stop when the weekly class ends.

Having been through the process myself, I understand that Year 12 is about much more than knowing the Biology content.

Students need to manage:
- Multiple subjects
- SACs
- Exams
- Motivation
- Time management
- Pressure and expectations

I provide mentoring throughout the year to help students build a sustainable approach to their studies rather than relying on last-minute cramming.

For students interested in Medicine, I can also provide additional guidance around UCAT preparation, medical applications and MMI/interview preparation.

PROVEN EXPERIENCE

I have 4+ years of tutoring experience across a range of students and ability levels.

At one of the tutoring companies I currently work for, I have the largest student cohort.

I believe that is a reflection of something more important than simply having strong academic results:
students and families trust the quality of the tutoring I provide.

My approach combines academic knowledge with practical experience of what it actually takes to move from average results to the top of the cohort.

—----------------------------------------

MY RESULTS
- Raw 46 VCE Biology
- Top 1.6% in Victoria
- Monash Medicine undergraduate student
- First-round offer for an unbonded Monash Medicine place
- 4+ years of tutoring experience
- Largest student cohort at one of my tutoring companies
And perhaps most importantly:
53% → Raw 46

I wasn't the student who naturally knew how to achieve top marks.

I had to learn the process.

Now, I teach that process to my students.

—----------------------------------------

WHO SHOULD JOIN?

My classes are designed for students who are serious about improving their Biology results.

You do not need to already be achieving 40+.
You do not need to consider yourself "naturally gifted" at Biology.
You do need to be willing to work consistently and take your improvement seriously.

Whether you are currently struggling to keep up with the content, sitting around the middle of your cohort or already achieving strong results and looking to push further, the program is built around identifying your individual weaknesses and systematically improving them.

The goal is simple:

Don't just know the Biology.

Know how to turn your knowledge into marks.

If you are prepared to put in the work, I will provide the structure, resources, feedback, accountability and support to help you maximise your performance.
