Hi, my name is Jadon and I graduated in 2019 as DUX of Sydney Boys High School with an ATAR of 99.95. I have just completed my Doctor of Medicine course at Western Sydney University.

With state ranks in both Physics (2nd) and Chemistry (20th), I have a very deep understanding of both the new, more skills-based syllabus as well as the high-yield content that you must know in order to succeed and excel. I am also very familiar with what markers are looking for and the marking criteria they use. My practice questions and past papers target all the common questions that the HSC exams love to ask.

I also achieved marks of 100 (4th in NSW), 99 and 98 in 2U, 3U and 4U Maths respectively, and have experience of university-level maths. This makes me well suited to teach maths across all different levels, which is further backed up with my teaching experience across all years, from year 7 all the way to year 12.

My teaching is heavily focused on achieving a comprehensive understanding of each topic by targeting the most important points and building in complexity from there. Understanding is especially important in this new, more skills-based syllabus for Chemistry and Physics. I'm also a strong advocate of learning via experience and place a heavy emphasis on examples, which I myself have found to be a very effective way to increase knowledge retention. My Maths teaching is also heavily focussed around applying concepts we learn in class into exam-style questions. It goes without saying that I will also alter my pace and style to suit the individual student, based on their strengths and needs.

Hourly rates for online tutoring are as follows:
Years 7-8: $60/hour
Years 9-10: $70/hour
Years 11-12: $80/hour
In person tutoring is only offered for students living in Lidcombe or an adjacent suburb, with an additional $10/hour extra with a minimum or 2 hours per week.
Group lessons and 2 hour individual lessons are given a $10/hour discount.

Experience

I've been tutoring since the end of 2019 till present, having taught over 100 students of varying skill levels and varying grades. I've also worked with prestigious tutoring firms and taught in group settings but decided to pursue private tutoring exclusively later on. Throughout the years, I've consistently improved my students' marks and allowed them to reach their goals in a very paced out, realistic manner. Some of my students have gone from average or below average to top 10, whilst others were able to maintain their high rank and ultimately excel at the HSC.

Students receive the very same education which allowed me to excel in all my subjects, along with the targeted resources that I have curated throughout my years of teaching.
