In a typical lesson, I help students improve their writing focusing on grammar, punctuation, spelling, and structure. I assist students with the support of resources, worksheets, text guides, and curriculum guides.

I help students prepare by targeting their study of texts on key themes, ideas, characters, and settings. I help students to understand persuasive language, analyse language, plan and structure their analysis. I also help students to develop their authorial voice when writing creatively.

I draw heavily upon the knowledge and resources that I have acquired from teaching, to support students at their point of need.

Preferred times are 4pm - 5pm Thursday and Friday. I am also available Monday to Wednesday from 5pm to 6pm.

Rates

$50 for in person tutoring within 10 minute drive. $45 per hour for 1:1 online tutoring. Reduced hourly rate for group tutoring: $40 per person (2 students) 35$ per person (3 students).
