Hello, my name is Joseph. I am a 30-year-old qualified high school teacher based in Brisbane, with over two years of classroom teaching experience and 13 years of private tutoring experience.

I specialise in Japanese, English, and the Humanities, and have supported students from late primary through to senior secondary. I am also an external marker for the QCAA and have experience with senior assessment and syllabus requirements, giving my students a clear advantage in understanding how to meet marking criteria.

I believe in supporting students to reach their full potential through structured academic guidance and calm, encouraging mentorship. Drawing on my extensive tutoring, teaching, and childcare background, I strive to create a warm, focused learning environment where students feel supported, capable, and motivated to improve.

I have been tutoring for 13 years and have supported students from schools including St Joseph’s College Gregory Terrace, All Hallows’, Churchie, Nudgee College, Clayfield College, Kelvin Grove State College, St Rita’s College and others.

My students consistently improve by at least one full grade, particularly in essay-based and analytical subjects. I focus on clarity of structure, exam technique, syllabus alignment, and building student confidence.
