The school system has cracks in its foundation. Children, in most cases, aren't being encouraged to learn - they are being told to learn. Can we then fault them for inevitably resisting an obviously flawed system? After all, what child likes being told what to do? To top it all off, classroom teachers are physically incapable of providing equal attention to the students within their class - at no fault of their own. The one-on-one learning experience is invaluable to a students engagement, enjoyment and understanding of various topics and should be considered an important accessory to classroom learning.

As a tutor, I specialise in Maths and English particularly for Year 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 students. I have developed efficient methods of helping students in their understanding of arithmetic, algebraic concepts as well as essay and creative writing. Students who work with me have the opportunity to tackle their weakest areas in order to gain more confidence and hopefully remove that 'I Hate Maths/English' mindset. I pride myself on being an empathetic, understanding and passionate tutor who will always put your child's learning needs first.

Experience

Over the previous 7 years, I have gained extensive experience as a tutor for children aged between 6 - 18 years of age. Initially, I provided support to music students studying piano and guitar. I then decided to transition to tutoring in a centre with a focus on aiding students in their studies of English, Maths and Science.
