What I offer goes much further than tutoring.

I am Kylie Mort — a Registered Teacher, Study Coach, ADHD & Executive Function Coach, author and educational resource creator, with more than 20 years of experience in education and a postgraduate qualification in Psychological Science.

My work focuses on the whole learner.

Because sometimes the problem isn't that a student can't do the work.

They may not know how to start.

They may become overwhelmed by a large task.

They may understand something today and struggle to retrieve it tomorrow.

They may have difficulty organising their thoughts, managing their time, sequencing information or translating what they know into what an assessment is actually asking them to demonstrate.

Or learning may have simply become associated with frustration, conflict and feeling like they are "not good at school."

That is where I work differently.

I continue to provide individual online learning and study coaching for students from primary school through secondary school, Years 11 and 12, school leavers and beyond.

My goal isn't to make a student dependent on a tutor.

It is to help them understand their learning well enough to become increasingly capable, confident and independent.

I am a Registered Teacher, Professional Academic Tutor and Learning Coach with more than 22 years of combined teaching and tutoring experience, supporting learners from Prep to Year 12, as well as school leavers, university students and mature-age learners.

My qualifications include a postgraduate qualification in Psychological Science, a Bachelor of Secondary Teaching (English & Social Studies) and a Bachelor of Arts (Literature & History).

This combination of education and psychology underpins my “More Than a Tutor” approach. I support not only curriculum knowledge and academic skills, but also the executive functioning, confidence, mindset, organisation and learning strategies that influence a student's ability to use what they know effectively.

This may involve strengthening foundational academic skills, breaking complex tasks into manageable steps, developing more effective study strategies, supporting executive functioning, or rebuilding confidence after previous difficulties with learning.

My goal is not simply to help students complete today's work. It is to help them develop the skills, strategies and understanding to become increasingly confident and independent learners.
